White board makes colour pop
Printing on kraft gives you that natural, earthy look, but colours come out darker because the brown shows through. A white top liner keeps colours bright and true, which is why most printed carton boxes use it. If your brand colours are specific, ask for Pantone matching and we will match them on the proof before the run.
Folding carton or corrugated carton?
Small, light products usually go in a folding carton: a single sheet of paperboard, very crisp print, great for shelves. Heavier products or anything that ships on its own needs corrugated. An E flute corrugated carton is a nice middle ground: thin enough for sharp print and tight folds, strong enough to ship. We will recommend the lightest board that does the job so you are not paying for strength you do not need.
Inserts keep things in place
A carton holding several items usually needs something to stop them sliding around. Cardboard inserts and dividers are cheap, recyclable and can be printed too. We design them together with the carton so everything fits the first time.
